The Army

• The Party believes in the necessity to disband the regular army and replace it with military units with various tasks and limited armament, because:
  
  
• We fell behind the technological military development of traditional weapons, and it became impossible at the visible extent to catch up with such increasing development.
  
  
• We fell behind pursuit of owning nuclear weapons armament race, and were unable to possess these weapons because of the international treaties for preventing the spread of nuclear weapons.
  
  
• Israel 's supremacy in possessing traditional and nuclear weapons, in addition to its distinctive military experience it has, not to mention the unlimited support it receives from the west, in general, and USA , in particular.
  
  
• The Party believes in the possibility to liberate our lands through political striving instead of military struggle.
  
  
• The Party believes in the possibility to live in peace with all neighboring countries and to settle all conflicts and disputes through dialog.
  
  
• The Party believes that armament race is a kind of wasting the limited resources of our nation, and that putting those resources in development, reconstruction, services and technological progress is more useful.
  
  
• The Party believes in the necessity to prepare an army fully equipped with technologically developed individual weapons, and the army units should be trained to guerrilla warfare, and that it must be able to carry out effective resistance processes to force out any occupation.
  
  
• The new army shall be given different tasks during the time of emergency and disasters and be fully prepared to face these.
  
  
• The army moves in case of emergency upon a command from the defense committee in the senates, and the President shall take up the Commander in chief for the specified period.
  
  
• Compulsory service shall be shortened to only three to six months in order to undertake an intensive training session that the service period ends when this session is completed and process of paying exemption of military service in return for reasonable sum of money shall be facilitated.
  
  
• The Party views that it is necessary to separate the position of Minister of Defense from that of the Commander in Chief.
  
  
• Defense committee in the Senates supervises and calls the army leadership for account.
  
  
• The Party refuses establishing any foreign military bases inside Syrian lands or Syrian territorial waters.
  
  
• The army shall be taken away from participating in the political life.
