Parliament (congress):
Its primary tasks are surveillance and legislation: Surveillance on the executive power, and calling it for account. Vote of non confidence is carried out if necessary. Its members are elected by the people through direct ballot, and by the active parties through voting within the party itself to appoint its own representatives in the Parliament. Our party is of the view that the number of partisan members within the parliament shan't exceed one fifth the total number of the deputies.
To guarantee the competence of the council to overtake its duties, our party believes that the council (parliament) is based on the following bases:
- The council is free to introduce any amendments to the draft public budget, and to introduce or amending any regulations in the country.
- Forming competent sub-committees under the council assigned with controlling the action of a certain ministry or a certain government administration to hold it responsible and referring its shortcoming to the council to withdraw confidence from the government.
- Coupling between the membership in the parliament and working with the government isn't allowed.
- The election of the chairmen of these committees, the offices of the council, the chairman of council, and the chairman of its bodies is undertaken by the members of the council themselves, not through direct or indirect appointment made by the presidency or the premiership.
